Created as an annual fundraising event for scholarships, Ursuline's speaker series “Lunch With A View” is designed to bring members of the Dallas business and professional community together each year to hear from remarkable individuals, thought-leaders, and role models. All proceeds benefit need-based financial assistance for young women students at Ursuline Academy.
The 2011 “Lunch With A View” on September 29 raised over $34,000 for scholarships. The keynote speaker was Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D. Her book, “My Stroke of Insight,” chronicles the onset of her stroke and brings a deep personal understanding to something she long studied: that the two lobes of the brain have very different personalities. |
